HireGo

Six trades. Six different front doors.

A chef and a driver are not booked the same way and cannot be verified the same way, so on HireGo they do not share a form. Each trade asks its own questions and proves itself with documents that mean something for that work.

Chef

Cooking for a house, a dinner or an event. Chefs declare the cuisines they cook and the kinds of events they take, so a wedding brief never lands with someone who only does daily home meals.

Booked for

  • Daily home cooking
  • Dinner parties
  • Weddings and large events
  • Meal prep

Must prove before approval

  • Work portfolio
  • Cuisines
  • Event types

Plumber

Leaks, blockages, fittings and installations. Providers list the work they take and their rate before anyone books, so a call-out never starts with a surprise.

Booked for

  • Leak repair
  • Drain clearing
  • Tap and fitting installs
  • Bathroom work

Must prove before approval

  • Work portfolio
  • Certificates

Electrician

Wiring, fixtures, faults and appliance installation. Certificates sit on the profile where a customer can see them before choosing.

Booked for

  • Fault finding
  • Rewiring
  • Fixture installs
  • Appliance connection

Must prove before approval

  • Work portfolio
  • Certificates

Cleaner

One-off deep cleans and regular household work. Providers set a weekly schedule, so you only see people who are free when you need them.

Booked for

  • Deep cleaning
  • Regular housekeeping
  • Post-construction clean
  • Move-out clean

Must prove before approval

  • Work portfolio

Driver

Priced per kilometre

Personal and hired driving, priced per kilometre rather than per job. A driver cannot be approved without a licence and photographs of the vehicle they will actually turn up in.

Booked for

  • Airport runs
  • Daily commute
  • Intercity trips
  • Family driving

Must prove before approval

  • Licence, front and back
  • Vehicle photographs
  • Per-kilometre rate

Lawyer

Consultation, drafting and representation. A resume and practice licence are mandatory — no portfolio stands in for either.

Booked for

  • Consultation
  • Document drafting
  • Property matters
  • Representation

Must prove before approval

  • Resume
  • Practice licence, front and back

Why the requirements differ

An early version of HireGo demanded a photo portfolio from everyone. That made two trades impossible to register: a lawyer has no portfolio to show, and a driver’s work is not photographable either — what matters is the licence and the vehicle. Both are now verified on the evidence their work actually produces, and a portfolio stays welcome from anyone who has one without being demanded from people who do not.

Whatever the trade, nothing goes live on its own. An administrator reads the documents and approves or rejects the profile, and an unapproved provider cannot appear in search or accept a booking.
