HireGo

Know the price, and the person, before the door opens.

Booking someone to come into your home is not a checkout. HireGo is built so that the money, the date and the scope are settled in writing between two people who can both see the same booking.

What you get on a profile before you commit

Enough to make a decision without a phone call, and without taking anyone's word for it.

Distance from you

Search runs outward from where you are, so the list opens with people who can actually reach you rather than whoever paid to be at the top.

The documents themselves

Certificates, licences and portfolio photographs sit on the profile. For a driver, that includes pictures of the vehicle that will pull up outside.

Their real availability

Providers keep a weekly schedule and a switch for whether they are taking work at all. Someone who has closed their books does not show up as free.

Ratings from finished jobs

Every score on a profile came from a customer whose booking was completed. Abusive reviews can be hidden by a moderator, but never silently reworded.

What that trade actually does

A chef lists cuisines and the kinds of events they take. A driver lists a per-kilometre rate. The filters match the trade instead of a generic keyword box.

A price that is still open

The figure on a profile is a starting point. What you pay is what the two of you write down together.

Booking, step by step

The app enforces this order. You cannot be asked to pay for a job that has not been agreed, and nobody can mark your booking finished on their own.

  1. Send the job

    Customer

Pick a trade, describe the work, add reference photos and a date. The form asks the questions that trade actually needs — cuisines for a chef, distance for a driver.

  2. Accept, or counter

    Provider

The provider accepts the job or names a different price. Either side can counter, up to five offers. Every offer is kept, so there is a record of what was said.

  3. Settle an advance, or skip it

    Both

A provider can ask for an advance before travelling. The customer pays into the provider’s listed account and uploads the receipt; the provider verifies it. If nobody needs an advance, the step is skipped.

  4. Do the work

    Provider

The job is locked to the agreed price and date. Both parties can see the same booking, the same figure and the same notes.

  5. Both confirm it is finished

    Both

One side marks the job complete, the other confirms. A booking is only closed when both agree, and neither can close it early.

  6. Rate the work

    Customer

Ratings open only after a completed booking — one review per job, editable later. That is why the scores on a profile mean something.

Questions people ask first

How do I know this person is who they say they are?
Every provider uploads documents at registration — licences, certificates, a resume, photographs of their work or their vehicle — and an administrator at HireGo reads them before the profile can appear in search. Someone who has not been approved cannot be booked.
What if the price they name is too high?
Counter it. You can go back and forth up to five times on one booking, and every offer stays on the record. Nothing is agreed until one of you accepts a figure, and the job is then locked to it.
Do I have to pay anything up front?
Only if the provider asks for an advance, and only if you agree to it. You pay into the account listed on their profile and upload the receipt; they confirm it arrived. If neither of you wants an advance, the step is skipped entirely.
What happens if they do not turn up?
Open a ticket from inside the booking. It records the problem against that specific job, with the agreed price and the whole offer history attached, and a person at HireGo picks it up. Raising it never quietly changes the booking behind your back.
Can I leave a review for anyone?
Only for a booking of yours that was completed, and only once per booking — though you can edit it afterwards. That is the whole reason the scores on a profile are worth reading.
