Privacy policy
How HireGo handles information about you. Last updated 9 September 2026.
This policy covers the HireGo mobile app, this website at www.hire-go.com, and the service behind them. HireGo is operated by ApexFuse, Rawalpindi, Pakistan. Write to support@hire-go.com about anything in this document.
1. What we collect
Information you give us
- Account details — your name, email address, phone number, a hashed password, and the market you signed up in.
- Verification codes — a short code sent to your email or phone to confirm you control that address or number.
- Provider profile, if you register a trade — the trade itself, your rate, the area you cover, your weekly schedule, and details specific to the trade such as the cuisines a chef cooks or a driver’s per-kilometre rate.
- Verification documents, if you register a trade — depending on the trade, this may include a driving licence, a practice licence, a resume, professional certificates, photographs of your work, or photographs of your vehicle.
- Payment details you publish, if you register a trade — the bank or account details you want customers to send an advance to. These are shown to a customer who is paying you.
- Booking content — what you need done, the date, the address or place, reference photographs, the offers each side makes, and the price you agree.
- Payment evidence — if an advance is agreed, the receipt or screenshot the customer uploads as proof of transfer.
- Ratings and reviews you write about a completed booking.
- Support tickets — what you report, any images you attach, and the contact details on the report. This includes messages sent through the form on this website without an account.
Information collected automatically
- Location — if you grant the app location permission, it records your coordinates so that search can order providers by how far they are from you, and so that you appear to nearby customers if you are a provider. The app only writes a new position when you have moved a meaningful distance or the last one is stale, rather than tracking you continuously.
- Push notification token — if you allow notifications, an identifier issued by Firebase Cloud Messaging that lets us send a message to your device. It is not tied to any advertising profile, and it is cleared when you sign out.
- Technical logs — server logs of requests, including IP address, for security, rate limiting and fault diagnosis.
What we do not collect
We do not process card payments and we never see a card number. We do not hold your money at any point — an advance is transferred directly from the customer to the provider’s own account. We do not run advertising, we do not sell your information, and this website sets no advertising or analytics cookies.
2. Why we use it
- To run bookings — matching you with providers nearby, showing each side the same booking, recording offers, and tracking whether an advance has been paid and whether the work is finished.
- To verify providers — an administrator reads the uploaded documents and approves or rejects the profile. This is the whole basis of trust on the platform.
- To keep the platform honest — restricting reviews to people who actually completed a booking, moderating abusive reviews, blocking accounts that misuse the service, and investigating disputes.
- To tell you what changed — push and in-app notifications when a booking, an offer, an advance or a ticket moves.
- To answer you — replying to support tickets and messages.
- To protect the service — rate limiting, abuse prevention and security investigation.
3. Who sees it
The other party to a booking. When you make or accept a booking, that person sees your name, the contact details needed to carry out the job, the location or address of the work, everything in the booking itself, and the offers exchanged. A provider’s published payment details are shown to a customer paying an advance. This is unavoidable — the work happens in person.
Anyone browsing the app. A provider’s public profile — trade, area, rate, portfolio images, certificates, ratings and reviews — is visible to users searching for that trade. A customer’s profile is not public.
Our team. Administrators can see accounts, bookings, reviews, payment reporting and support tickets in order to verify providers and resolve disputes.
Service providers we rely on. Firebase Cloud Messaging, operated by Google, delivers push notifications and receives the device token and the notification content. Our email provider delivers verification codes and replies. Our hosting and content-delivery providers process requests to the service. Each is used only to run HireGo, and none is permitted to use your information for its own purposes.
Authorities, where we are legally required to disclose information, or where it is necessary to investigate fraud or a threat to someone’s safety.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for advertising.
4. How long we keep it
- Account and profile data — while your account exists, and for a limited period afterwards so that a dispute raised late can still be answered.
- Bookings, offers and payment evidence — retained after completion as the record of an agreement between two people, which is the only thing that makes a dispute resolvable.
- Verification documents — kept while the provider profile is active. You can remove an individual file from your profile at any time, subject to the minimum your trade requires to stay approved.
- Reviews — kept for the life of the profile. A review hidden by a moderator stops counting towards public scores but is not erased, so moderation itself stays auditable.
- Support tickets — kept as a record of what was reported and what was done about it.
- Logs — kept for a short period for security and diagnostics.
5. Your choices and rights
- Location and notifications are yours to grant. Both are separate operating-system permissions and both can be withdrawn in your device settings at any time. Search will simply have less to work with.
- Correct your details. Name, email, phone, region and every part of a provider profile can be edited in the app.
- Get a copy. Ask us at support@hire-go.com and we will send you the information we hold about you.
- Delete your account. Ask us and we will close it and remove your personal information, except what we must keep for a completed booking, an unresolved dispute, or a legal obligation. We will tell you what is being kept and why.
- Object or complain. Write to us first. If you are not satisfied, you may complain to the data protection authority in your country.
6. Security
Passwords are stored hashed and are never readable by us or by anyone else. Traffic between the apps, this website and our servers is encrypted in transit. Access to the administration panel requires a separate sign-in and is limited to the people who need it. Uploaded documents are stored on our own infrastructure rather than a public location. No system is perfect, and if a breach affects you we will tell you.
7. Where your information is processed
HireGo operates in Pakistan, India, Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, the United States and Portugal. Our servers and the services we rely on may be located outside your own country, which means your information may be processed abroad. We use providers that apply appropriate safeguards to that transfer.
8. Children
HireGo is not for anyone under 18. We do not knowingly collect information about children. If you believe a child has registered, tell us and we will remove the account.
9. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information we will update this page and change the date at the top. Where a change is significant we will also tell you in the app before it takes effect.
